Bloood Cancer Conference 2016
It truly was a pleasure to have the opportunity of capturing this wonderful event held at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, WI. Why was it so special to me? Because I am a blood cancer survivor and there is a certain ambience about being in the presence of other survivors, fighters and caregivers. We all “get” each other—the struggles, fears, celebrations, victories and all the other emotions that cancer has a way of transpiring.
It was great to see so many in attendance to learn more information and listen to their health care providers elaborate on topics associated with their specific disease.
Also, a big thank you to the LLS for making such an event possible. It takes a great deal of time and dedication to make such an occasion possible.
I am thankful I had the chance to meet some new people, hear their stories, share mine, and hopefully, leave them with a glimmer of hope. I am praying for all of you!
